About us
MAalex (*2019) is an artistic and curatorial duo formed by Martina Pizzigoni and Alex Fallica.
Our practice centres on interrogating contemporaneity, analysing the context in its social and anthropological nuances.Through a constant focus on relationality, interactivity, and digital technologies, we employ a multidisciplinary approach, selecting the most effective medium to communicate our ideas and provoke critical dialogue.
MAalex uses art as a means to shake up consciences and make people question our contemporary world. Its works embrace a wide range of artistic expressions, from immersive installations to participatory experiences and site-specific artworks. MAalex current research concerns the paradigms of digital cultures, with a focus on the shifting of our identities from the physical world to the virtual space, and the impermanence of our human activities and interactions, now transformed into data, in the context of the web.
